You made the right choice with Guardian Protection.
When security is on the line, you want the best. We design, install, service, and monitor all of our security systems ourselves. And it’s been that way since 1950. Our equipment and expertise are proven. Our protection specialists are rigorously trained.
But above and beyond that, we care about each one of our customers. With us, your safety is always personal.
We want it done right, so we do it ourselves.
Our world-class monitoring and professional installation is all powered by real people. Our people.
So now what?
- Training. Part of our installation process is making sure you understand your Guardian Protection system. We won’t leave until you feel confident using it.
- Check in. We’ll check up on you a few weeks later to see if you have any questions.
Hit the ground running
What happens if your fire alarm goes off? How do you navigate your panel? Or how do you view your event history on the app? Our Smart Start helps you get the most out of your system from day one.
Once your security system is installed and activated, it will be in “orientation” mode so that you have some time to get used to using your system. You’ll be able to get comfortable with the functionality of your new system without worrying about false alarms and related fines.
During this time, Guardian will call only your primary phone number when your system sends a burglary, medical or panic alarm signal and we will notify emergency responders only if you request it. If you feel comfortable enough to turn off the orientation feature, you can contact us at 1.800.PROTECT and we’ll turn it off unless doing so violates a local municipal ordinance. If you have a monitored smoke or carbon monoxide detector, those alarm signals will be treated normally and we will alert emergency responders when we receive this type of signal from your system, regardless of the orientation period.

If you reside in an area where your municipality requires a third-party guard service you will be charged according to your contract. If you are in a guard service area the Guardian Protection monitoring center follows a procedure that includes calling a guard service on the customers behalf in the event of an alarm.
If any questions come up with your new equipment, we’ll always have you covered. Find answers to many common troubleshooting questions here.
